1. UPS additional handling fee

According to UPS regulations, when the following situations occur, an additional handling fee of RMB 40 will be charged for each package:

  • Packages containing pure ion batteries or cells (UN3480, PI965 Section II)
  • Items packaged in metal or wood instead of standard UPS packaging materials
  • Cylindrical items, such as barrels, drums, cylinders or tires, etc., which cannot be completely packed into conventional packaging boxes
  • The longest side of the package exceeds 122 cm or the second longest side exceeds 76 cm
  • Packages with actual weight greater than 32kg
  • Goods whose weight is not clearly stated in the UPS system but whose average weight per package exceeds 32 kilograms (70 pounds) (excluding UPS Global Express Freight Services)

2. UPS overweight and overlength charges

For packages that exceed the specified weight and size limits, UPS will charge an overweight and overlength fee of RMB 378 per item:

  • The maximum weight of a single package must not exceed 70 kg
  • The maximum length of each package must not exceed 270 cm
  • Package size (length + circumference [(2x width) + (2x height)]) must not exceed 419 cm
